dc.description.abstract | A prospective study of 47 healthy women undergoing tubal sterilisation for contraception was undertaken to find out the rate of isolation of Chlamydia trachomatis from fallopian tubes of these individuals. Chlamydia trachomatis was isolated from the tubes in 7 (14.9%) out of 47 of them. The possible role of this pathogen in the aetiology of salpingitis in our population is discussed. | en |
