dc.description.abstractInaddition to the known pumilaisoflavones A and B two further isoflavonoids have been isolated from the seed pods of Tephrosia pumila collected in Ethiopia. These have been characterized, on the basis of spectral analysis, as pumilaisoflavone C (5,7,4′-trihydroxy-3′,5′-dimethoxy-6,2′-di(3,3-dimethylallyl)isoflavone) and pumilaisoflavone D (5,4′-dihydroxy-3′,5′-dimethoxy-2″,2″-dimethylpyrano[5″,6″: 6,7]isoflavone).en
