Students' perception on quality of E-learning study materials in Kenya; A case study of Inoorero and Unisa Universities
Abstract
E-Iearning is becoming an educational issue especially with the new development of leT and globalization. In addition, new concepts related to the learning strategies and multimedia in elearning is introduced. With the increasing integration of e-leaming into university courses there is strong need for practical guidelines to facilitate the development and delivery of pedagogically effective e-leaming environment. The study focused on students' perception on quality of e-Iearning study materials. The objectives of the study were to find out whether content, mode of delivery, lecturers elearning competence, assessment and evaluation of e-learning study materials had any impact to UNISA and Inoorero students' perception in regard to quality.
The research was done through a descriptive survey of UNISA and Inoorero universities. The study used stratified random sampling in the above institutions. Research instruments used included questionnaire for students. Information collected was recorded and analyzed using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). Tabulation was done using frequencies and percentages with regard to students' perception on quality of e-Iearning study materials. Detailed description and use of appropriate tables were employed where necessary.
