The monitoring ,Evaluation and Capacity building was recognised as project in the Constituency Development Fund Act and could be allocated up to a maximum of 2% of the Constituency annual allocation. Beside its allocation at Constituency Development Fund there still existed numerous challenges which ought to have been addressed by the monitoring and evaluation. Thus the project research study investigated the factors that influenced adoption of CDF monitoring and evaluation results in Lurambi Constituency, Kakamega County, Kenya. The objectives of the project research study were: to determine the extend at which demographic characteristics of CDF projects managers influenced adoption of CDF monitoring and evaluation resultts, to determine the extend at which availability of monitoring and evaluation funds influenced the adoption of CDF monitoring and evaluation results, to determine the level at which attitudes of CDF project managers influenced the adoption of monitoring and evaluation results, to examine the extent at which training of CDF management in monitoring and evaluation influenced its adoption and to explore strategies that can be used to improve adoption of CDF monitoring and evaluation results. To address the objectves, descriptive survey design was used as it enabled direct generation of information, and provided an opportunity to get deeper responses concerning pertinent issues. The study involved the entire six CDFC staff, fourteen members of CDFC and a sample of thirty projects management committees who were systematicaly selected where its executives that is, chairmen ,secretaries and treasurers were selected as respondents. All the responses were gathered through questionaires. The data was analysed by use of desriptive statistics of frequency tables, percentages and avarages this was done with the aid of microsoft excel spread sheet. The findings of the research study revealed that whereas respondents age, education level and experienced in handling CDF prpojects influenced adoption of CDF M&E results their gender did not. Furthermore funding of monitoring and evaluation, and in- service training on respondents influenced the adoption of the monitoring and evaluation result. However respondent attidutes nearly inluenced positively and negatively the adoption of the CDF M&E results. The research study report made recommendations as follows: Promote gender equity in CDF management groups, appoinment of persons with higher educatioan qualifications in CDF management, training of CDF management groups and involving stakeholders in the monitoring and evaluation exercise. Finaly it recommended for an increase in the allocation made for CDF monitoring and evaluation.en_US
