dc.description.abstractDevolution of funds is one of the strategies which the government is emphasizing on so as to realize vision 2030. Constituent development fund (CDF) was established in 2003 by the government as part of devolved fund to enable the general fork get involved directly in development of their social economic facilities in order of priority oftheir respective community. CDF projects at the constituency level like bursaries projects, infrastructure projects, instructional materials projects, and extracurriculum projects are some of the projects CDF embark on in public secondary school. The purpose of this study was to establish the extent at which CDF projects influence implementation of educational programs in public secondary schools in Kisii Central District Kisii County. The study was guided by the following objectives;To establish the extent at which CDF bursary project influence Educational programs, to determine the level of influence of CDF infrastructure projects on educational programs to assess the extent at which CDF funded extra curriculum projects influence teaching and learning in public secondary schools and lastly to inquire the extent at which CDF funded instructional material influence educational programs in public secondary schools in Kisii Central District. To establish this, a survey design was adapted because it was to provide enough data both quantitative and qualitative for the purpose of the research. The target population was 15,135 students from public secondary from whom the researcher. sought to investigate how CDF projects influence implementation of educational programs in public secondary schools in Kisii Central District Kisii county; Kenya. The study used stratified sampling design, simple random sampling and purposive sampling to select representative sample for the research. The researcher used research instruments like questionnaire, interview schedule whose validity were ascertained through pilot testing in five public secondary schools in Ogembo division Gucha district, peer review and through expert judgement. Reliability was ascertained through split half test and the correlation coefficient (r) was 0.81 which was high enough to accept the instruments. Data collected was analyzed using percentages and frequencies involving qualitative method of analysis. The result of the study indicated that CDF infrastructural projects had significant influence on implementation of educational programs in public secondary schools. it further showed that there was significant relationship between CDF bursaries and student participation in educational programs. Similarly CDF instructional projects were found to have a significant influence on the implementation of educational programs, Conversely extra- curriculum projects found to be neglected inspite of the significant role they play in educational programs implementation. From the study findings, the researcher recommended that the CDF bursaries be given in full and continuously until students finish form four. At the same time the infrastructural facilities should be funded adequately and until completion. The study also recommended that instructional facilities should be funded regularly so as to benefit the students during implementation of educational programs. Lastly the study recommended that extra- curriculum projects should be funded adequately to nature the talents of the youth during implementation of educational programs in public secondary schools. The researcher also identified the gaps in research which should be filled by other researchers, influence of CDF projects on implementation of educational programs in public primary schools, influence of CDF extra- curriculum projects on development of sports and Lastly a study should be conducted on the influence of parents teachers association projects on implementation of educational programs.en_US
