The activities contributing to teacher's participation in facilitating smooth transition were analyzed on the basis of the levels scored on the five point likert scale. Descriptive statistical methods were used in analyzing the results. Microsoft Excel was used in tabulation of variables and generation of appropriate frequency percentages. Tables, pie chart and graphs were used in presentation of the result. The study established that the teachers do not participate well in facilitating smooth transition of learners from pre-school to primary school in Karuri zone Kiambu County. The study found that the activities that teachers were involved in, to facilitate smooth transition was low. The activities which have the most influence on the participation is the working together of preschool and primary school teachers, the learner information, the continuity of pedagogical approaches.
