dc.description.abstractThis article considers IMF economic reform programmes in the context of developing economies. The fundamental features of these programmes are considered and then a critical appraisal is conducted of the performance of economies implementing these programmes. The evolution of IMF programmes in developing economies is also considered. Many country case studies are used to demonstrate that there are no ideal models for stalled economies.en
