Findings on the effects of single gender dominance on women participation in entrepreneurship showed that the majority, 90 (54.5%), indicated that women are not as tough as men to do some businesses. Based on the findings it was concluded that women perception of themselves influence their participation in entrepreneurship. The study also concluded that women felt incapable of venturing into entrepreneurship. The study also concluded that gender roles influence women participation in entrepreneurship. The study also concluded that gender stereotyping hindered women from entrepreneurship. It was further concluded that when a woman ventures into business, her home will not be in order. The study also concluded that family responsibility affected women participation in entrepreneurship. The study finally concluded that single gender dominance affected women participation in entrepreneurship. This was seen where women were seen to be less tough as men to do business, that men did not give women chance to participate in business and in cases where men prevented their wives from venturing into business. The study recommended that women should be socially empowered to change their attitude towards themselves and hence take up entrepreneurship. It was also recommended that men should see the need to share gender responsibility so as to give women a change to participate in business. There is also need to have capacity building for women so that they can overcome the different challenges they face so that they can take up entrepreneurship. Taking the limitations and delimitations of the study, it was suggested that a study on the influence of government policy on gender empowerment and its effect on women participation in entrepreneurship should be conducted and also suggested that a study on since the study was taken in one administrative division, there is need to carry out a similar study in another area so as to compare the findings.en_US
