Problem Statement The work of maintaining students records is a major prob Lem in the school. Like any other organisation there is need to have a good information maintenance system. Often student records go missing as paper files and open shelves are currently the best form of storage available. This has therefore led to the alternative look at a computerised information system as opposed to the current manual system which has many flaws. Objectiveu a) To facilitate fast access to any student information; b) To allow the school administration' to obtain a number of reports that are necessary in keeping track of students' progress and other school activites; c) To facilitate efficient maintenance of student records; d) To provide an efficient backup of records. Approach A relational database approach has been used in the development of this system. This is because this form of approach allows data independence and therefore changes to information and data can be done without affecting the physical storage. Likewise changes in database design still leaves the data stored intact. Results The devel9ped system will cover the following areas: a) Student admission details; b) Feee payment information; c) Examination reports gene-ration; d) Library usage details to facilitate its management.en
