Computerization Of Personnel Records For National Social Security Fund (N.S.S.F) Using The I.C.S. VAX Cluster
Abstract
N.S.S.F is a Non banking Financial Institution
whose main function is to provide it~s members with social
security depending on certain factors such as retirement,
attainment of the stipulated age limit or inability to work
due to some certain circumstances.
The number of employees is approximately 1600
distributed throughout the country with a greater
percentage stationed at the headquarters in Nairobi.
Currently the personnel records are not
computerised and a large number of staff are employed to
manage and monitor these records. Due to the present
expansion within the organisation and the expansion
programme in future, the Personnel division of the
Personnel and Admin1atration department have realised the
need to have a computer aided personnel record system in
order to manage,monitor and control the division more
effectively and efficiently. In order to achieve this goal
it will be necessary to do a comprehensive systems
analysis and design which is part of the subject matter of
project.
