This investigation looked into the effectiveness of team leaders at the Voucher processing centre, Barclays Bank (k) limited as perceived by the employees of the department. It also looked at the attitude of the employees in the department and attempted to relate the two phenomena. A sample of employees from the department filled in questionnaires asking them questions about the habits and practices of their leaders and how they felt about their jobs. Leadership behaviour was viewed as initiating structure and consideration. Initiating structure is the concern placed on the achievement of routine tasks while consideration refers to the fulfillment of group members goals, and the relationship to job satisfaction and hence motivation. The responses were collated and analyzed using Spss and Data access basing categorizations on aspects such as age of respondent, gender, period in service and administrative experience.en_US
