The haemoglobin content of autotransfused blood in acute ectopic pregnancy
Abstract
Haemoglobin concentration and packed cell volume estimations were made on the intraperitoneal blood from 12 patients with acute ectopic pregnancy. The derived values for mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration were normal or lower than normal, indicating that the haemoglobin was mostly intracellular and therefore potentially capable of normal oxygen transport.
