dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this research report was to investigate the influence of resource mobilization to the performance of community Based Organizations in Tseikuru Sub County. The report was guided by the following specific objectives: To identify the sources of resources and their influence on performance of Community Based Organizations in Tseikuru Sub County, To assess the influence of effective communication on performance of Community Based Organizations in Tseikuru Sub County, to establish the contribution of local communities to performance of CBO in Tseikuru Sub County, Resource mobilization theory was used in for this report. Descriptive survey design was employed in the study. The target populations for the study were the three divisions in Tseikuru Sub County., purposive sampling was used to select 6 CBO coordinators based at the divisional level by the virtue of being the officers in charge of managing the CBOs in the divisions, 36 CBO officials and 168 households were selected by use of Simple Random Sampling. A total of 186 respondents participated in the study. Data was collected through interview schedules and questionnaires. The instruments’ validity were tested using supervisors opinion while split half Technique was used to test on the reliability of the instruments where the instruments were considered reliable. The data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Descriptive statistics such as frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviations were used to analyze the data. The analyzed data has been presented in the form of frequency tables, bar graphs and pie charts. The findings revealed that over 33% of the respondents reported that CBOs should children walk long distances or do not attend school in order to fetch water for the households, this impact negatively on their mental and physical development as well as their education. The study further recommends that, there is need to carry out awareness on the implication of using water of poor quality in the community as it may have adverse health effects on the lives of the community.en_US
